Teens own this cafe. They don’t only attend it – they run it. By joining the Youth Leadership Team (YLT), you get to voice your opinion about what the cafe looks like, sounds like, feels like, and even what food is served. The YLT is a great place to find friends while developing leadership skills that look nice on a resume. Find out more about the YLT here.

Upcoming Events: CANCELED – TO BE RESCHEDULED Nanotechnology – The Science of the Small

With regret, we are canceling this event. We are working on plans to reschedule in the near future. Our first concern is always for students’ safety. After speaking with our partners, we felt it best to cancel knowing the next week may bring uncertainty to the region.

How small can you get?  What does “nano” mean?  Is nanotechnology already present in our everyday lives?  What can it lead to in the future?  Join us for the next Teen Science Cafe to find out!  Dr. Suzanne Lapi from Washington University will talk about her work in nanotechnology, and you will even get to try some activities with objects that use real nanotechnology!  Hear from Dr. Lapi about how she found her career in nanotechnology and about her current research in the production of novel radio isotopes for medicine and development of new radiopharmaceuticals for cancer imaging.
